""People are many""라고 하고 나면 다음 말이 막히기 쉽습니다. commute, rush hour, crowded, platform, strap, handrail.

한국어 ""출근하다""를 영어로 옮기려면 go to work 말고도 쓸 수 있는 동사가 있습니다. commute는 사전에서 ""to travel regularly a distance between work and home""로 풀이돼요.
- She commutes to the city by car every day.
이 단어는 명사로도 쓰이는데, 사전은 ""a regular journey between work and home""라고 설명하고 ""It's at least an hour's commute to work.""
- It's about forty minutes' commute by subway.
사전은 ""the busy part of the day when towns and cities are crowded, either in the morning when people are travelling to work or in the evening when people are travelling home""이라고 길게 풀어 둡니다. 예문은 ""Take alternate routes during the morning rush hour.""
crowded는 ""full of people""이라는 짧은 정의가 붙어 있습니다. 예문 ""By ten o'clock the bar was crowded.""
- The train is crowded during the morning rush hour.

사전은 ""a long, flat raised structure at a railway station, where people get on and off trains""라고 설명해요. 예문 ""The next train for Aberdeen will depart from platform 9.""
- People are waiting on the platform.
- The next train will arrive soon.
사전은 ""a strong strip of material hanging from the roof of a bus, train, or other public vehicle for passengers to hold onto if they are standing""이라고 풀어 놓았어요.
- A man in a gray coat is holding a strap.
사전의 정의는 ""a long, narrow bar of wood or metal that people can hold on to for support, especially when going up or down stairs""로, 대표 장면이 계단이라는 점에 주의하세요.
- Hold the handrail when you go down the stairs.
It is morning rush hour, and the platform is crowded. People are waiting for the next train. Inside, a man in a gray coat is holding a strap. It's about forty minutes' commute by subway.
